Xena's friend Helen of Troy has been having prophetic dreams and summons her to help end the 10-year Trojan War. When the two adventurers arrive in Troy, Gabrielle is reunited with Perdicas, her former fiance. Xena suspects that there is a traitor within the castle, but her accusation lands her in the dungeon. She escapes as the "surrendering" Greeks leave behind their famous wooden gift horse and the unsuspecting Trojans are about to learn a deadly lesson in trusting the enemy. Inside the palace, the traitor Deiphobus kills his brother Paris and steals Helen but Xena rescues her friend. With Paris dead, Helen wants to make a new life for herself, so she leaves Troy, accompanied by the faithful Perdicas, as Gabrielle regards her formerly-dull childhood sweetheart in a new light.
